LAN-Party Laptop 2016 (From The Dark Side) Worklog - Part 01 By Coolone a. Name of mod: "LAN-Party Laptop 2016 - From The Dark Side" ( Click on picture for large picture ) "Star Wars" - Hello (from the dark side) b. Description of my case mod: Idea For my "LAN-Party Laptop 2016 (From The Dark Side)" Case Mod I have use an Black Aluminium Suitcase and some nice aluminium rods in "mirror like" finish for the Frame Structure. Normally the Aluminum Suitcase Case Mods a built up with some holes so it is possible to mount the hardware inside the case and making it possible to ventilate the case as well. But often the ventilation is a problem, since it gets too hot inside the case this is the reason way I have decided to make main different (Never seen before). I have build it up in a modular way inspired by the modular way the Cooler Master MasterCase Series is made. Since I have build it up in an modular way there are two options for my build one I call "Safe transportation" where the hardware is placed secure inside the aluminium suitcase and one where the hardware is placed on top of the aluminium suitcase and the case mod will be used like an "Test Bench". Since I use an Black Aluminum Suitcase and have build it modular I have called it "From The Dark Side" like in Star Wars where you see something but also there is something you not could see. I have decided not to use any Star Wars promotional tools like poster or so for this case mod. The whole idea for the project is to make an special case with the theme "Make It Yours. - Be Yourself.". Aluminium Suitcase TOOLMATE DT-932078 - 460 x 335 x 150 mm http://www.silvan.dk/ c. Test Bench: Some information and pictures about Test Bench. In hardware terms I think Test Bench is most of all used by Overclockers. "Test Bench" - Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Test_bench A test bench or testing workbench is an (often virtual) environment used to verify the correctness or soundness of a design or model, for example, that of a software product. The term has its roots in the testing of electronic devices, where an engineer would sit at a lab bench with tools for measurement and manipulation, such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, soldering irons, wire cutters, and so on, and manually verify the correctness of the device under test (DUT). In the context of software or firmware or hardware engineering, a test bench refers to an environment in which the product under development is tested with the aid of software and hardware tools. The suite of testing tools is often designed specifically for the product under test. The software may need to be modified slightly in some cases to work with the test bench but careful coding can ensure that the changes can be undone easily and without introducing bugs.
