I'm new to PAX and to this forum. I'm using X-Fi Surround 5.1 Pro
I dig through the forum and can't find much like a "README" to see what PAX mod provides, while there is discussion about it.

I've installed the driver from this thread after cleaning creative driver then I failed to see any difference

yes there is more ini files in this driver, like 4.1 5.1 7.1 but it's not available from neither the creative control panel nor in windows audio setting. (windows 7 x64 here)
The option in creative control panel is always THX TruSurround, not CMSS-3D

Can you or someone point me to a thread with everything a newbie need to know?

You did disable driver sign? did you check see if they installed system 32 and wow 64 folder? Remember I don't have card to test.

i'm sure the creative official driver was uninstalled and driver files were removed (when i uninstall driver, i check the checkbox to remove driver files).
then windows install the microsoft common usb audio automatically (named SB X-FI Surround 5.1 PRO)
then i install this driver, and i accept the unsigned driver. i can see this driver replace the microsoft common usb audio (named SoundBlaster X-FI Surround 5.1 PRO). i can check the device property (in device manager), check driver file list, 4.1*.ini 5.1*.ini etc is included, and is installed corrected to the path
and control panel works just "fine" (same as official version). do i still need to disable driver sign globally?

in the forum i see they talked about dis-"sync" speaker setup between creative control panel from windows control panel. i haven't pay much attention to the official one but yours works fine like this: selecting 5.1 or 2.1 will in creative panel will sync to windows control panel
but luckily when both panel is 5.1, selecting headphone in creative panel won't sync to windows control panel, won't force it to 2.0/2.1
i can have 5.1 in windows while headphone in creative panel. test sound sent to all speaker except the subwooder comes out of headphone just right

I still don't have CMSS-3D. is THX TruStudio replaced CMSS-3D? I can only find CMSS-3D in creative control panel "manual" yet it says not all product support this.

I tried rebooting then select disable driver sign. everything is same. maybe there's someting force the driver sign off. I'm sure the driver is loaded, maybe just because part of the driver files are signed only part of it is used, i'm not sure

Bass is working for 5.1->headphone. I got support reply from creative, they said TruStudio replaces CMSS-3D

I have USB Sound Blaster X-fi HD but i think that this one is some kind of new release, the older one (the one i returned to the seller) had "THX" logo on the top and this one has "SBX" i know that this is only cosmetics but my firmware version is newer than one you can download on official web site. My question is why i can not install any of your drivers? every time i try i get "Setup is unable to detect a supported product on your system. Please ensure that your product is properly installed before running this setup program. Setup will exit"

    Can you help me?

Did you try the current USB HD driver set? Remember I don't own any usb products to test the driver but welcome to the forums.

    Hello,

I really could use some help.
I just bought tonight USB sound card device creative blaster X-fi Go! Pro for my laptop lenovo T520, windows 7 64-bit.

I installed the drivers from their website.
Plugged in the USB card. Successfull, says device is ready to use.
I looked at device manager, under sound, and I can see the x-fi go pro, no problems.

I plug my headphones in the usb device headphone jack, play some music, but I cannot hear anything! I unplug the USB dangle, and I can hear the music coming out from the laptop's speakers using the motherboard's sound card.

I have tried to uninstall the go pro drivers, install again, a couple of times, but in vain. I am giving up, but before I return this to the store I was wondering if you could help. :tears:

I couldn't install the driver you have listed up above. I downloaded it, extracted it into a folder. But then how do I install it? when I go to device manager > sound > go pro > update driver, and I selected the folder where your files were extracted, It immediately tells me I already have the latest driver installed. It doesn't install yours. :sigh:

    any help would be appreciated.
    thanks.

    Hello Mr. Robert
    I used windows7 pro 64bit and X-Fi Go! Pro.
The challenge was to install the 2014-PAX X-Fi Go! Pro 2014 V1.00 but failed.
I get a Setup is unable to detect a supported product on your system.
Read the ct_cabinfo.txt, I checked the Audio\Drivers\Driver\WinVista\Bin folder.
Ksaud.ini can not be found in the Bin folder.
Run the installation after copying the ksaud.ini from PAX X-Fi Go! Pro 2013 V1.00,
    The successful installation.
Does this helpful to you? .

English is poor and I'm sorry.
It is a text that you created in Google Translate.

    Hello,

Not sure sir what you mean by my device id

But I'll give some ids I am finding on the box:
    Model SB1290
    OB PN 06SB129000007 Rev A
    FG PN 70SB129000000
S/N: YDSB bla bla bla (let me know if you need that)

When I connect the device to USB, the Device Manager > Sound video and game controllers > Sound Blaster X-Fi Go! Pro > Properties >
    Driver provider: Microsoft
    Driver date: 7/12/2013
    driver version: 6.1.7601.18208
    digital signer: microsoft windows

Details tab has many properties and values, let me know which ones I should tell you if any. I found a property there called "matching device Id" is this what you meant? its value is "usb\class_01"

    Thank You!

Hi, I just plugged in a USB X-fi Xtreme Audio Karaoke today and tried to install the PAX USB Sound Blaster Series 2014 V1.05. But the driver has failed to recognise the device. Windows 8 itself could though.

The device ID I get from DxDiag is : USB\VID_041E&PID_3041&REV_0100&MI_00

Did I choose the wrong driver pack?

I have what appears to be the non-pro X-fi surround. Tried using PAX pro drivers and got incorrect device error. I have the shitty creative drivers installed atm. Is there a way I can install PAX, even if I have to do a hack job?? Can i change device ID in ini perhaps???
