Cartoonist Matt Furie has racked up a significant win in his quest to take back one of his cartoon creations, Pepe the Frog, after the character became the defacto symbol for white supremacism during and after the 2016 American presidential elections. Furie has forced one of the most prominent neo-Nazi websites, The Daily Stormer, a publication that peddles in fictional, rightwing takes on the news, to remove all instances of Pepe the Frog from its site, a feat that is not as simple as it sounds.

it never was a white supremacist image.... for fucks sake you gaud damn asshats, it's a bloody meme, and the moment you labeled it white supremacist... everyone and their aunt/grandma and likely even the deceased start making it even more and plastering it everyone because by definition, censoring something without any reasonable proof at all, no proof in fact that would point to being supremacist at all since anything that even was nazi related to pepe, was a joke and is actually defamatory towards nazi's, it's not for them you bloody cunts. Essentially intentionally removing the parody, killing it, is somewhat facist and nazi like, how ironic.

First of all, Judas you are the exact amount of upset over this. Removing a copyrighted image is for you fascist and nazi like? When it is broadly used in that site? How ironic indeed, your reaction that is.

Second, I am not sure what is more offensive, nazis or Pepe the Frog. Good riddance to them both.

so if it's removed from one site, why isn't it from all in all it's various forms, including the countless videos?

I am not sure what you mean.
You are upset that not all, world wide, sites are not forced to remove pepe, and just one nazi site is?
Is that what you are asking?

i'm not upset, it's just hypocritical, contradictory, fair use being screwed over, no differently how youtube and numerous other services are hunting down people for even suggesting anything that might be inappropriately considered copyright infringement or just doing/saying/showing something in "bad taste".

A nazi website, white supremacist website has every right to do/say what they want, and if they want to create meme's of their own, then so be it, it still doesn't make the meme suddenly associated to their ideals, at all. The currently over zealous liberal/far left insinuated that it was, and then feels inclined to police everyone, even those that have utterly nothing remotely to do with right or nazi's... but have absolutely no problem associating anyone that touches the meme at all, with being awful people.

It's just the narative, and the fact that the author decided to lump themselves in with the extremist absurdities to go after one, the set president is the fundamental problem at that point, as if one website can be hit by this nonsense, then every other one MUST comply with it and it also gives ammo to anyone else that would like to target other completely unassociated, totally different with take downs.

The day I feel sorry what happens to nazis, including a nazi site, is the day I have become a retard.

trusteft missing the point and the overarching ramifications, as stupid as nazi's are, so long as the only thing they are doing is well within the rights they have and that everyone should have, should be able to do.

"Punch a nazi" for example is stupid.

I am not missing any point.
It's political correctness to the nth degree of stupid.
We allow nazi parties, communist parties and any political party which is actively working towards the destruction and replacement of democracy.
It's so fucking stupid, all in the name of freedom. When the same people will gladly take your head off if they get in power. And it's not like we don't have examples where such parties took over thanks to democracy letting them do so.
    Stupid stupid stupid.
I don't give a fuck about the rights of any nazi, communist, religious fanatic or other stupid motherfucker.

in the general aspect of it, i don't either, but imposing the restrictions on one, does it to the rest.... and they are labeling them as such due to them NOT being politically correct, so it doesn't make sense that you're technically siding with those that are pushing the political agenda and would most definitely be the ones to take your head off.
