Registry cleaners come with all kinds of promises – they'll optimize your PC, give it a speed boost, eliminate errors and prevent crashes – but that's not the full picture.

The Windows registry is a database containing almost all your PC’s hardware and software settings. When you uninstall a program, its registry keys should be removed too, but this doesn’t always happen.

. If you own a Windows PC, you'll be used to performing some basic maintenance tasks to keep it running smoothly and prevent problems with applications or files. Most of us regularly update our virus definitions, empty the Recycle Bin and so on.

When it comes to PC maintenance, a Registry Cleaner should also be part of your toolkit. Its purpose is to keep your Windows Registry tidy, efficient and help applications to run without a hitch.

how about no... every machine i've ever had to deal with that has had some either minor or massively corrupted registries were almost exclusively due to using a bloody "cleaner"... cleaner tools should be avoided, specially by the general populants, and having seen some "IT Professionals" use it and royally fuck up a lot of stuff, usually without realizing it because they are over confident arrogant jackasses rather often as well whom refuse to believe using such a tool can and does ramifications even when "properly used" by their own standards what they may be... things happen.

Do it right, don't rely on any kind of kit to just do all the work for you... blanket solutions are usually blanket problems with no realistic fix at all after that (short of restoring the whole works).
