Hi, New to forum but not to my old dells. Heres the story....I've have my old dell 4700 forever and have enjoyed the Audigy 2 SB "drive" because of the fantastic input/output capabilities and the fact it works with Sony minidisk recorders! I just "retired" my main PC, a Dell XPS700 and plan to install win 7-32bit and put it to work in my downstairs "lab". Big question....can I use the SB setup (plenty of room for the "deck" in the cd\dvd spaces) with the XPS700? I have the proper slot open for the card and of course all the correct cables.....but will I be able to get drivers\software to work and have the same functions I did with the old 4700 inspiron?

A lot of work to do first with the Win 7 update first, but it would sure be appreciated if I could get some good advice if I'm on the right track!

    Thanks,

    Dave

Seems there are Win7 drivers for your card here so that shouldn't be an issue

Just make sure you've got a PCI not PCIe a slot ready and waiting
