As the title says, what browsers still support Java? As of yesterday, the only one I can think of is Internet Explorer. Chrome hasn't supported it for a while and, as far as I'm aware, the same goes for other Chromium derivatives. Yesterday, Firefox dropped support. Edge, Microsoft's latest and greatest, doesn't support it. The only one that's left is IE, which, with Edge in mind, is Microsoft's legacy solution, and I suppose that that's enough, but it's far from ideal.

I know Tor still supports it, but its not recommended to use javascript or java on it.

That's because Tor is based on an older release of Firefox. It'll catch up eventually.

Though, the recommendation is only if you want to stay hidden for sure. If you use Tor as an alternative just to be able to run java and not to be hidden there's no real harm in using it.
