Introduction

Chances are that if you know anything about gaming peripherals then you know about Razer. They have been one of the top manufacturers of high quality keyboards and mice for some time now and more than a few have won awards on this very site. As well as these devices, Razer have also dabbled in the PC audio market with items like the AC-1 sound card and the excellent Barracuda headphones.

Then there is THX, given that their logo appears on the front end of many of the most popular movies of all time as well as numerous high-end audio components it is unlikely that the company has passed many people by. They are synonymous with exceptional quality.

So what do these two companies have in common? The Razer Mako 2.1 Advanced Desktop Audio System was co-developed by the audio scientists at THX with input from Razer.  Over the last couple of months we have run the Mako system through a barrage of tests in real world use and today we will let you know if this system lives up to the quality associated with its creators.
