Astro A50 Wireless Headset Review
Astro A50 Wireless Gaming Headset (PC/PS3/360) Review
Back in 2011 Skullcandy acquired Astro Gaming in a move which seemed to be a good fit for both manufacturers. Skullcandy had of course built a good audio brand but never quite cracked gaming and Astro were showing signs of being an interesting alternative to the Razers of this world. Today we have one of Astro’s high end gaming products to review, the A50 Wireless which is designed for use with PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 in mind… as well as any device with optical or 3.5mm out.
Packaging and Bundle
Astro package their A50 Wireless in a large cardboard box with sleeve around the outside. This sleeve shows the headset in detail and covers a number of key specificatinons and features. Inside we find the main box splits in half and suspended in plastic is the headset and MIXAMP TX with the quickstart guide and bundled items below.
Bundled with the A50 we get a stand (3 piece, assembly required), 1m optical cable, Xbox Live Mic cable, and two USB cables (1m and 0.5m). One for connection of the MIXAMP to PS3/PC/360 and another for charging our headset.
