Corsair Force GT 120GB SSD Review

Maximum Read / Write

Benchmark Results

ATTO disk benchmark allows us to run a synthetic test on the various drives which are being reviewed today, letting us see the peak speed achieved on each model.

In this review we are comparing the Force GT to Intel’s 510 Series drive (the fastest model which is 240GB). The reason for this? Basically the Intel model, like the Force GT, is marketed as a drive which is ideal for real world use, the 510 series having been tuned firmware wise to maximise file transfers and similar operations rather than IOPS. Of course we must also note that as well as Corsair stating the Force GT is ideal for reading/writing music and video they have also been able to retain high IOPS.

So, in terms of maximum speeds we see the Force GT peaking above the 510 series on read and despite the 120GB version of the Corsair drive being 10MB/s slower at writes than the 240GB model it still outscores the Intel drive by some way in this test.
