Like many manufacturers of high end components PNY focus on more than just one product type. So while some may know PNY for their range of high end NVIDIA graphics cards and others for their quality SD cards used in portable devices it should come as no surprise that there are a range of other products available from them too.
One key area which PNY are looking to take a chunk of is SSDs, something which makes sense given their flash memory division. Today we have the latest SSD from PNY attached to our test system, the XLR8 Pro, putting it up against the best that Samsung and OCZ (amongst others) have to offer.
Packaging and Bundle
PNY package their XLR8 Pro drive in some classy looking packaging which gives us some useful information on the drive specifications along with a picture of the drive itself. Inside the box we find the SSD surrounded by foam and bundled with it is a short SATA cable, something we don’t often see included with drives nowadays.
