Quake Wars is the only test in our review to use OpenGL. The engine has MegaTexture technology which allows Splash Damage to create some nice outdoor environments with the Doom3 engine. Testing was performed at 1920×1200 with 4x anti-aliasing and 16x anisotropic filtering. All game options were set to their highest level.

The biggest talking point of this test would have to be how close the XFX 9600 GT gets to the 8800 GT. Only the smallest of margins separates the two cards due to the enhanced clock speeds used by XFX. Also worthy of note is that the Asus 3850 OC Gear provides almost perfect performance at the tested settings.
