We have covered the 5770 a number of times in the past, such as XFX’s own original model. This new model shares the same specifications of a 40nm Juniper core with 16ROPS and 800 shader processors being powered from a single 6pin connector. This 850MHz core connects to 1GB of GDDR5 via a 128-bit bus and it is of course DirectX 11/PCIe 2.1 compatible.

XFX have however changed the cooler and outputs, gone is the dual slot model and in its place a more compact single slot design. This means out PCIe bracket is also single slot and so XFX have opted for three outputs, two Dual-Link DVIs and a mini-DisplayPort. With these we can convert to HDMI, output 7.1 audio including DTS Master and Dolby TrueHD and through AMD’s software we can also accelerate standard and 3D Blu-Rays. All of this making the card ideal for small form factor and media systems.

Also worth noting is that XFX offer a 2-year warranty and their online support is one of the best around, offering users options such as live chat with a representative should the run into issues with the card.
