XFX Radeon HD 5770 Single Slot Tested with 5 Latest Games and 3D Blu-Ray

Fallout New Vegas – DirectX 9

Fallout New Vegas is the most recent game to be released which uses the Gamebryo engine, the same technology used on games such as Oblivion. This means that while we get some nice features such as HDR lighting the game itself isn’t too demanding for the latest hardware, until we max out the settings available.

Testing was performed at 1920×1080 16af with Ultra Detail enabled.

Fallout New Vegas is capped on AMD hardware with the current drivers, never rising above 65fps (usually 60fps) even when we disable VSync in the drivers and game options and due to this cap we get an average of 59fps on the XFX card. Looking to the minimum framerate this stays above 52 even during the most demanding stages, ideal performance for the most demanding gamers.
