Power / Temps / Noise

One of the key aspects of mini-ITX systems is their low power use and AMD took this to very impressive levels with the Fusion platform. With the release of the 45w i5-2500T Intel are looking to gain some of the same market through the ability to perform at a high level on a significantly reduced power level, so how does the 6450 impact this?

  H67/2500T H67/2500T/6450
Idle Temp 32°C 37°C
Load Temp 51°C 61°C
Idle Power 46w 55w
Load Power 98w 120w

In this test we see some good results from the 6450. At idle it sits at 37°C and never rises above 61°C during gaming. The power use is also decent adding minimal watts at idle and only 22w at full load which running near silent. It is also worth mentioning that passively cooled (silent) versions of the 6450 will be available to buy.
