Brink was released recently and offers something a little different for our cards to handle, a game engine based on OpenGL technology. idTech 4 was originally used on Doom 3 and most recently in Wolfenstein (2009) and has been tweaked a lot since the original build including its ability to manage/display large outdoor areas.
Testing was performed at 1920×1080 with anti-aliasing enabled. High in-game settings were enabled also.
No huge surprises here considering the age of the game engine as the GTX 560 offers great performance throughout our test, even at 1920×1080 with all settings at their limit. Interestingly there is quite a significant gap between it and the overclocked 6850, even with the latest AMD drivers which are available to maximise Brink performance and image quality.
