Dell XPS 15 (L501X) Review

In the past many people would associate Dell’s XPS laptops with large, heavy, bulky designs that were undoubtedly fast but far from portable or cheap. In the last few years though, as a result of the Alienware acquisition, things have changed. XPS now stands for designs which are a higher quality than the rest of the brand, models which have an extra level of sheen and the Adamo is a perfect example of that.

Anyone looking at the Adamo might think that XPS means expensive but that isn’t the case. Today’s review product is Dells new 15" XPS, the L501X which retails for just £549 in the UK at the moment and also has a $100 discount in the USA.

We will be putting the system through a selection of real world tests which include Blu-Ray 3D playback, media encoding and gaming to find out whether this new system makes the ideal winter purchase.
