The Switchblade Panel and Software

Earlier we noted the Blade’s unique Switchblade UI and here it is in a little more detail. As mentioned the standard setup has a touchpad on the main screen and ten function buttons above. These launch the main apps such as number pad (also shown above) and access to Facebook, Gmail etc with the Switchblade screen acting as a standalone display.

As well as Macro configuration some of the other key apps in the Switchblade UI are clock/stopwatch, gaming mode config (e.g. to disable the windows key) and the ability to browse and watch YouTube.

Then things get a whole load more interesting for those that play some of the biggest games such as SWTOR, Battlefield 3 and Counter Strike. As is shown above the UI can be set to specific gaming profiles so using the Leage of Legends one as an example we can set of specific functions or show a countdown for creep camp respawns. Then in Skyrim we get quick access to key areas of our game interface.

Software Software

To assist us in managing the keyboard area of the Blade Razer provide their Synapse 2.0 software. In its first screen we can set profiles, including custom button configurations and in lighting we can change the brightness of the keys and Switchblade area.

Software Software

Gaming Mode gives us the same controls we saw on the Switchblade screen and Settings enables power saving technology.

Software

The most important screen for gamers will be the Macro area where we can add our chosen commands.
