MSI GT60 20D (3K Screen) Gaming Laptop Review
MSI GT60 20D Laptop Performance Review (3k Resolution Screen)
A few years ago MSI decided to take on the gaming laptop marketplace in a serious way. They had been producing mobile gaming systems for a while but this was a revised, more determined focus. One of the first systems we saw from them in this area was the GX660R with a branch off in design more recently in the form of the GS70 Stealth and on each occasion the systems offered a decent level of features and performance, often having a key aspect which made them stand out in their class.
Today we have a new gaming laptop from MSI on our test bench and as well as being packed with the latest i7 CPU and 780M GPU it also continues their trend of offering one key feature. In this case it is a 3k resolution screen (2880×1620) which should be ideal for content creation and consumption…
Packaging and Bundle
Our sample of the GT60 was an early model and arrived in a plain box however we can expect retail models to use something similar to the one shown above, which is their GS70 box. Inside the blank GT60 box we find the laptop, wrapped in protective materials, including a cloth bag, with the bundled extras off to the side.
MSI tend to bundle documentation and software discs with their systems (though ours arrived without) and on top of that we get our PSU and battery. Bundled with this system is a 180w PSU, manufactured by Delta Electronics, and a 9-cell, 7800mAh Li-Ion battery which is rated at 87Wh.
