new user/driver help

i just bought and installed drivercleaner.net. I ran Live update to see if there are updates, there were none. Next i ran Driver Version Check.net i am a little confused as to what driver i need. my details:

XP Media Center Edition SP2
Nvidia GeForce 6800
Current Driver: 93.71

Driver Version Check.net lists ForceWare 93.81, 97.92 (8800 Series) for newest available driver.

What i am confused about:

Now i click on the downloads site and select nvidia and it lists all the drivers. There are two versions of 93.81 a WinXP x64 edition and a Win200/XP version Which one would be the one i select?

Also i went to the official Nvidia site to check drivers for my system. (where i usually get my drivers). there is a series of three menus you select from to see what driver you need. I select: Graphics Driver > GeForce and TNT2 > Windows XP Media Center Edition
It then tells me the newest driver for my system is 93.71, which i currently have.

So do i need the 93.81 driver (and what version) or stick with 93.71?

I need to know so i can download then run DriverCleaner.net to clean up my system and install fresh driver.

Hi,

with windows mce you need the Windows 2000/XP driver, because those are the same. On the official nvidia site are only official whql drivers from nvidia. The 93.81 is a newer driver only not whql signed and beta. Most times you can get those drivers at nzone.com and site from nvidia where you can get newer beta drivers.

I only go to a newer driver when i have a problem with a program or game and most times a newer driver fixes that, so it depends on if you are experiencing any problems. If everything is running ok then i would stick with the 93.71
