First time user here. Just planning ahead for the worst case scenario.
Is there a CAB restore feature? I only see File, Directory and Registry (x2) in the Restore window. I've configured DC.net to backup everything except the full registry. One other oddity. The Cab Cleaner window Cleaning Selection dropdown menu lists SP2 twice: ![]() Is this a problem? Should I choose 1 then the other? Thanks. |

Hi,
That it lists the SP2 2 times is because it searches on certain locations for the file and it found it on 2 locations so that is why it lists it twice. There is no cab restore, because it only removes a few files, but it does detect if it goes wrong and if it does it restores the old cab back. Before it starts it renames for example sp2.cab to sp2.cab.bak. At the end of the cleaning it checks if the file exists and if the size is not to small, if 1 of those checks fails then it will delete the new file and rename the sp2.cab.bak back to sp2.cab.

Great - thanks for the info. The fact that I'm here, making this post, means everything went well
![]() From my perspective as a user, Driver Cleaner.net performed flawlessly. However, an error log with a number of entries was generated. Would it be helpful to you if I e-mailed that along with the Cleaning Log to you? Last edited by kencl; Mar 3, 2007 at 03:40 PM. Reason: product name incorrect |

Sent with the intent of helping you make a great utility even better. Thanks a TON for producing and updating Driver Cleaner!
PS I love small utilities which just do the job they were designed for, and do them well. Driver Cleaner is definetly in that class.
