I have Vista and I cleaned my Nvidia card drivers and the soundblaster drivers exactly as the directions. I reinstalled new Nvidia drivers and everything works fine. The Soundblaster however will not install. Nor will the built in audio. It seems to have removed some system files because the drivers install but it will not recognize the card or even buit in audio anymore. I tried to force it manually with an update, I tried to switch PCI slots but nothing works. The problem originally was that there were random crashes in games so I though fresh drivers might be a solution since I have changed hardware twice recently. Now all I get in the device manager is a mulitmedia audio controller and nothing I do seems to work.

can you send the log file of driver cleaner to info at drivercleaner dot net. Then i can look at what it deleted and such and see if there is something deleted that should not be deleted.
