Silicon Image Sil3114 PCI Add-on SATA controller card
*email removed by mod staff*
Is DC designed to help me in uninstalling the driver for this card? I've uninstalled the card/driver through device manager in W2K. The I've booted into safe-mode and have ran DC. I see no listing for Silicon Image in the filters. Upon rebooting, PC sees the card as exact and prompts me to insert it's driver CD. It isn't showing up as new hardware, it's showing up as exactly what it is. I've tried another registry cleaner but no success. Silicon Image also no longer supports end-users. I need to remove this driver so I can install a newer version with which I can update the card's BIOS so as to support 2TB drives. Last edited by temeteus82; Mar 6, 2011 at 04:22 PM. Hi,
Driver Cleaner.NET doesn't support that driver. Maybe you can try to update the driver through device manager.

Re: Silicon Image Sil3114 PCI Add-on SATA controller card
If I try to update through Device Manager, it tells me the current driver is a better match and will not install the updated driver. That's why I was asking if DC supported this.
I found my own work-around anyway. I updated the card's firmware first, since it was the only option left open to me. This caused enough of a change to allow me to update with the new driver. |
