exclamation NEW: QuickLaunch DSP window with 1 mouse click

For those who missed it in the (rather long) ProFx thread:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Those who are familiar with kX will confirm that
the DSP window is 'the hearth' of kX.

Those who are not(yet) familiar with kX will confirm
that they are often told to go to the DSP window
if 'something doesn't work'.

Also, I wrote ProFx so that users can work solely in the DSP window.

Eitherway, we have to open the DSP window a lot!
(well, I know I do)

This little program opens the DSP window with 1 single mouse click.

It works with all driver versions.
No installer, no setup, no background crap.
Just put it somewhere on your hard disk, desktop, make a shortcut to it,
place it in the Windows QuickLaunch tasKbar or whatever.

You can get kxsdp.exe here:

very useful little app this one, makes messing with the DSP a lot easier when you don't need to open the mixer

I like it very much too Lex, Thank you..

I had (before I new this existed) asked Eugene (Via PM?, I know, he may never see it..) to make an option to launch the DSP INSTEAD of the KX Mixer on a dbl click on the KX tray Icon - this IS the next best thing...

Thanks again.

Hi Lex,

The app works well for me, thank you! The task-bar icon is unfortunately black in black (just like a black-box ), so I can only read the "k" if I click on the icon - is this changeable?
Greetings.

Hey Travel,

Hmm,..the icon's background should be transparent.
Anyway, yes you can change that by replacing the Icon (google for ResHack).

Yes, forgot to mention that I use win98 on my web computer, so transparent background will not work (?!).

transparent gif icons should still work in win98 - how else would you have shaped icons, without showing white/black square backgrounds?

though some transparencies might not work as well as they do in xp…

TheKezReturns will become famous soon enough

Would it be difficult to make a modified version that brings up the mx8 and/or ADC instead?
