TheKezReturns will become famous soon enough

Where is kx dsp plugin preset information stored?

I've been playing around with a couple of driver versions to find what suits me best, all the while feeling all nice and smug that all my settings are safe and backed up in a heap of kx settings files for every different situation.
But now, when I go back to 3538j, I noticed all my presets are gone.

I'm guessing now that the presets are stored in the registry and when you do a uninstall 'clean' they all go bye-bye fro ever. Should have exported them you say... ..yeah well I didn't know that so shut up.

Yes, they are in the registry.
They are stored in the subkeys (using the plugin's GUID) under:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\kX\Plugins

That's why there is;
-import presets (.kxp)
-export presets (.kxp)
per plugin, and
-save settings(.kx)
-load setting (.kx)
for entire DSP/kX settings.

(I'm not sure if the extensions are correct,
typing this from behind a linux box)

[edit]
Ah, I just read you figured out that to late. Bummer.
