Turning on Bass Redirection for 5.1 Sound

Hey, I've been fiddling with my settings some and the Surrounder works great for redirecting bass for 2.0 sound I was wondering if I could do the same for 5.1 sound? Is there an effect I could turn on to do that? By default, the Surrounder does not seem to apply when 5.1 sound is being used (for obvious reasons) so I just want to find a way to turn on the Bass Redirection while using 5.1 sound.

Thanks for replies in advance!

System Specs

5.1 sound signifies that bass redirection is in use (the .1 part is the bass channel)

so tick the box in the surrounder and set a frequency that suits your setup

Hm, I think my problem is a bit more complicated than I thought. I do already have my Bass Redirection checked (currently at 200Hz, yes I like it that high). I'll try and give the necessary facts first...

1. I'm trying to listen to a video that contains 5.1 sound.
2. The 5.1 is working as intended (when the LFE channel is used my Sub plays)

However, there is a part of the video that contains a song that only uses Left and Right channels. Thus, only my right and left make any sound with no LFE. However, if I change the program to output 2.0 sound instead of 5.1, all of the sudden the Bass Guitar and drums are played through my Sub.

So, what I want to know is what is being treated differently when the drivers recieve stereo sound instead of 5.1? I want to get that extra Sub sound (Bass Guitar for example) from a 5.1 source but currently it is only outputting from the left and right channel.

-EDIT UPDATE-
Ok, I just tried playing my 5.1 movie again and tried playing with settings. I have concluded that the Bass Redirection is NOT triggering while playing a 5.1 audio. My audio codec tells me when each channel is getting sound (FFDshow), and when a signal is directly sent to the LFE channel my sub properly plays whether Bass Redirection is checked or not.

Now, when I set my audio to 2.0, the bass is correctly redirected using the Surrounder Effect (When I turn it off the extra bass does indeed go away). However, while outputting 5.1 sound, my Surrounder is not redirecting any bass. It only plays what signals are directly intended for the LFE channel.

Can you think of any reason why that might be or how I could fix it?

Also, seeing as this has now turned into a bug report (if I understand correctly) if it could be moved I'd appreciate it.
