Depending on which card you have, ASIO 4/5 may be a better choice (ASIO 1/2 is not useable on some card models).
To actvate the MIC inputs on prolog, you need to unmute the AC97 slider on the 'Ins and Outs' page of kxmixer, and select the MIC as the AC97 Source (select in the dropdown box) on the 'AC97' page of kxmixer. The first you should do, is connect a peak meter to the top 2 pins of prolog, and make sure you can see the MIC signal there, as if you do not get a signal there, then you will not get it in Cubase. BTW: A better/easier option would be to use ProFX : ADC rather than prolog. Beyond the above, search the forum for Lemury's (Lex) guide on 'How to setup Cubase SX with KX', and his guide on 'How to setup your own DSP'. |

Yes it works!
I cant explane were the fault was, but i put my mic cable in the mic in of my soundcard again and it worked. But i have a one problem, if i speak in the mic i can hear my voice from the speakers, how can i disable that? My current DSP settings are these http://img265.imageshack.us/img265/5448/kx9ff.jpg |

Mute the MIC slider on the right hand side of the ADC window (click the little blue button. above the MIC boost button), and adjust the appropriate MX6 slider, so that it is muted there as well.
BTW: If you want to increase the volume of the MIC, use the slider(s) on the left hand side (L/R Rec Gain) of the ADC window. Also, you do not need the Peak plugin when using ADC, since it has one built in. I noticed you are using ProFX : ASIO and not epilog. You do not have to worry about the thing with ASIO 1/2 with that plugin (you can use any pins on that plugin), but you still need to be aware of the ASIO mapping issue. See Lex's guide for info on that, and how to map between the ASIO pins in the DSP, to the ASIO inputs in Cubase (or any ASIO host for that matter). Last edited by Russ; Jun 3, 2006 at 10:34 PM. |
