Using the APS Compressor and getting the most out of it

Hi there.. im L1Qu1D online and just you're average w1ck3d sound card owner, so I dont have knowledge of music that maybe I should.. at least2enjoy the KX driver properly.

I've figured out that having high/low shelves and high/low passes make speakers sound a lot more vibrant.. me n my ear ave managed2sort those out n it does sound loads better yet I realise that compressing the audio can improve voices, drums and synth music individually but there are a lot of settings to get right, could any1 tell me the best way to improve them individually.. like the numbers for attack and release etc? Thanks in advance.
