recording problem

hi I used the search function but no luck. so I'm going to ask anyway. my problem is that I dont know how to setup DSP. all I want is to record from the line-in input, and I can do that only from mic input. how do I change that? I changed in the main window on line-in but nothing happens. please help. here's how my dsp looks like

You have to choose the input from the drop-down menu on the AC97 page of the mixer.

Here is a DSP that I use for recording Line-In.
http://www.maxminn.com/emily40/images/LineIn-Record.jpg

The CT4830 is supposed to be trouble free as far as ASIO inputs etc. but I have found that at times I have had to choose different ASIO inputs in my recording program than I would expect. For instance in the above DSP I show line-in going to ASIO 0/1 but I remember at least one time when I had to select ASIO 2/3 or 4/5 in the recording program to get it to record.

Also in the above DSP I show MIDI playback coming in from SRC-FX Bus 2/3 but in reality when I use this DSP I have to select FX Bus 8/9 for MIDI to playback. In the default DSP it comes in through FX Bus 2/3 - I have no idea why.

If you don't have the ProFX from Lex Nahumury, get them here:
