MX8 for 3538j please Lex

Hey Lex,

Feel like getting those sends working properly and doing 3538j version?
I'll be your friend?

Seriously tho, the 32M soundfont limit and no EFX is killing my rhodes. Think I might mozy on back to 3538 land but my DSP has become a little MX8 dependant.

I usually try bight my tongue and not request stuff but you've also said b4 that you'll only work on things 'if there's interest'..... well..... I'm interested

@TheKezReturns: What is your biggest problem? Couldnīt you overcome this in chaining 2x MX6 together or similar - so we can leave Lex alone with his hard working on other cool stuff?

Woow, ... 8+4=12!! people took the effort to click a mouse button.
Yep indeed, I think I keep on working on "other cool stuff" .

PS:
OT: sry TravelRec that the 'manschaft' just lost from Italy.
Great game tho.

Hi Lex,

I canīt wait for that all what comes out of your fine tuned code kitchen

No problem (for me) since Iīm not the big fan, but sad indeed. Just before the finale... BTW: I had voted for NL as the WM-winner, but they also lost some days ago...

Yep, I'm impressed you remember me!

I came in, learnt how to and then sort faded away...

Maybe I should ask Kez to beta test it!

Yep that's the one. I know he did a cut down version, I'm using it now but it just aint as cool.
I'm going for that Air Moonsafari sound.. rich and full of harmonics and when u drive it just right, it's damn cool. Better than Lounge Lizard methinks.

Well sorta but that screws up the sends (..st mix i suppose..) and to be honest I was thinking this to be like minutes work and not hours, that Lex just probably thought no one's interested so what's the point. Anyways, no matter, I will be resourceful

if it has 7 channels or more, send it my way for sure!
btw, the whole dane thing is a bit daunting because of all the mathmatics trickery involved but i'm no stranger to c++, I've done a vst or 2 in my time. So if anyone needs help with GUIs and such, I'm more than willing to contribute.
And thanks Lex for your plug's as they are. They serve me well.

Yep, that's a nice one.
I asked because quite some time ago I wrote a Rhodes VSTi version using Jeff's samples.
No polyphony problems (128 max), no attack issue and veryyy low on cpu.
I have to look it up on my HDs since, IIRC, I stopped because of the oneven layers and
the Lopass fillter he used in the SF.
(No need for those in a multi sampled instrument and a waste of cpu IMO)

yep, not that much work, but I don't have kX or even an CL card and no MSVC installed on my dev machine atm.
By the time I eventualy put it back on, 3539 might be out by then too.
If the ASIO performance is the same as 3534 I probably recompile
the entire (larger) proFx 3534 ->3539 packkage with fixes.

/Lex.

Hi All,
OK, I've rubber stamped my 12 channel version. Give it a try and let me know how it goes:-

> It's built using kX 3538j
> And MS-VC6
> Tested on XP SP1

Know issues:-
> Input VU Meters may not work if connected directly to FXBUS plugin. Try ProFx Src instead.
> Known bug with channel SOLO. A non-solo'ed channel will start to sound if its' fader is moved.
> The VU Meters are, in general, rubbish! They don't work quite right...but they'll do for now.

Features:-
> 12 input channels
> Each channel has input fader, 2 Fx sends, mute button, solo button and VU meter
> Single master output fader, 2 FX returns and master output VU Meter

Hope all goes well. Feel free to ask for changes, but it will all depend on my mood.

Perhaps you may want to post a new thread releasing your mixer.
That way more people will notice it.

Cheers,

Thanks John, your mixer sounds great. I haven't had a chance to test it yet as my Audigy died so whenI get 6 inputs working again I'll test it out and let you know.

Thanks for the feedback. Please let me know since if all is well, I will take LeMury's advice and thrust it into the general arena!
PS the reason I didn't was because I was not confident that I had built it correctly.
You know, there may have been an "obvious" compile option, 5 menus deep, which I'd missed! As I keep reminding ppl, I'm not really a programmer!
