Raising the sound stage of the center channel
Hi
I've seen in the market expensive AV amplifiers having a dsp effect which raises vertically the sound stage of the center speaker in a 5.1 system. That's a great tool for people who due to limited space have placed center speakers near the floor while the left and right channels are reproduced much higher by tower-type speakers.
I guess there must be some signal of the center channel fed to the sourround speakers with some dsp involved (echo, delay, phase ec). If anyone knows something please post, maybe I'll try to make my first dsp....
