Mono Input to Stereo Recording?
Hey there.
following problem: i want to record my e-guitar with cubase. no problem. i set DSP and cubase up and everything is working fine, but one thing. the e-guitar output is mono so ac97 (and as a result of that, cubase too) gets input on the right channel only. how can i setup my DSP that the right-channel-input of ac97 is put out to cubase on left-channel too? thx LordBlackthorn |

You can make multiple connections from the output of a plugin to other plugins, so just connect the right channel output of ac97 to both channels of the next plugin in the chain.

hey, thanx for the answer, but the problem is:
if i do that, cubase gets the input on the right channel anyway. i connected right_ac97 to in0 and in1 on xrouting, but when i play the guitar, cubase gets its input only on the right channel. am i doing something wrong? |

in0 and in1 of xrouting are not connected to ASIO. See the following thread for info about the xrouting plugin:
xrouting info You may have noticed that under the default DSP config, ac97 (from prolog) is connected to both xrouting and to the ASIO inputs of epilog. The connections to xrouting go to the speakers, while the connections to epilog are used for ASIO, thus the connections to epilog are the one's that you would want to change. |
