the numbers above each slider are FX BUSS - you can click on the # and choose what FX Buss each ASIO channel is sent to.
The sliders allows you to adjust the ammount Thus ASIO 0 is sending FULL VOL to FX BUSS 0 - the FXBuss 13 & 14 are the default FX Reverb and Chorus. Youll note each ASIO channel is MONO. And becuase each 'slider' requires an FX BUSS assignment - FXBuss 0 & 15 are swapped in the 2nd slider (send b) positions. - if that makes sense.... edit: I just wish I had (or know how to) use midi CC to control those..... |

You should read the section on kX Router in the kX Help.

) in kX provided one has some programming skills. One way would be, writing an 'empty' DSP-plugin and using kxapi to control those routings through the plug's automation. /Lex. |

Yes I guess I figured that out but with the MX6 these sends aren't really that usful are they. I keep forgetting that we have the basic KX Project and we have the new improved plugins that actually render some of the basic functions as almost obselete.

On top of that (not sure if it's fixed by now), some of those level sliders don't work properly.

i'd sayd many of those sliders don't work properly (sfsynth, 3d sources etc.). well, it's just a compromise - it's not always possible to provide (and syncronize) both full customization and some 'standard predefined behaviour'. |

Yep. I was refering to those in particulair. but what compatibility tradeoff do you mean Max? I mean, those sendbus level sliders just act on hardware registers (DSL_FXSENDAMOUNT) in linear steps 0..0xff. (at least, that's the way I use them) So, personaly I think the reason they don't work properly is because of the (buggy?)param smooting done in software by kX driver. (i could be wrong though) /Lex. |
