It's true that Prologica does not decode in Dolby Surround, because that would be encoding. Instead, you connect your Dolby Surround source (e.g. VideoCD with Dolby Surround) to the inputs and the plugin decodes this into 5 separate channels: 3 front (L,R,C) and 2 rear (L,R).

Does it?
I've tried decoding mp3:s with claimed dolby surround encoding, and avi files with the ac3 codec, and the ac3 codec states the sound is "Dolby Surround", but when i send that output (2 stereo channels) to the prologica, it just doesnt sound like true surround. The Rear speakers sound like mono, and there is no audible differences between front and rear speakers, no different audio tracks... Is this supposed to be the case, or is something fishy?

Pro-logic encoded "rear" output is mono, i.e., the same signal is sent to both the L and R "surround" speakers.
