What does "PEAK" do?

Monitors the level of the output you connect it to.

..and if you double-click on the Peak effect in the kX DSP window (or right click on it and select "tweak") you'll see a nice peak meter.

p.s. You can also call it up directly from the kX Manager tray menu -> Right-click -> Effects -> Peak
