What is the best setting for 4 speakers set up?
Hi all,
I'm using SB Live! value with kx driver ver. 5.10.00.3525 I wanna know that what is the best setting for 4 speakers set up? for example, for movie or music listening. I've tried to put "Phase" effect in front channel , but I feel less bass than usual. Is this method work well for every environment or not? or if anybody have better solution for 4 speakers surround please advise, thank you. |

You should use PHASE plugin only if your bass is weak (phase problem). If your bass was sounding good already you do not need a phase plugin.

more correct: you need phase plugin only if your speakers extract subwoofer signal right from front/rear mix...
well, actulally, phase also can help you when listening to stereo only sound with all four speakers - but you will get phase/spectral distortions anyway - so stereo is for stereo only.... best possible quality...for the kind of surround use new "surrounder" plug-in of kx ver.30 (well, speakers:4.1, surround: on, other controls on your taste)...
