As far as I know, it fixes interpolation bug on Audigy.

This plugin can be used to correct "15.5 bit" signal you have by default back to its original "16 bit" state... In other words if you insert that plugin somewhere on signal path you will be able to get sound which is "bit-to-bit" identical to one you play.

Let me see:
First of all I have a SBLive, not Audigy, so maybe this doesn't apply to me, or it does?
I record all the time from the coaxial s/pdif input, using my old Sony DAT as an ADC to the live card.
Let me see if I understand it correctly... do I have to insert b2b immediately after the coaxial inputs in prolog to have 16 bits in the signal?
Please let me know the proper way to do it, because I'm in the middle of digitalizing a lot of old cassette recordings to archive them, and I'm taking every measure possible to assure the best quality (I know...first thing would be to record with a card with 24 bit converters, but forget it...I'm a poor guy from third world, so my SBLive with KX drivers is a gift from god ...:-))
Thanks for your answer.

Gonzo.

Hey Gonzo, check out Wave Purity from Difitec. I've cleaned up lots of cassete tracks with it and it's a great tool. I know what you mean by not being able to afford more expensive cards... Live is already expensive enough for us (I'm from Brazil).

Obrigado Daniel!
Es un placer hablar con alguien que esté tan cerca de mi paÃ*s.
Lamento no saber escribir correctamente en portugues, pero si, creo entender casi todo.
Onde mora voce?
Well, thanks... I'll try Wave Purity.
Doing archive work is a hell of a work when you have hundreds of cassettes that you've been collecting through the years, that's why I want to be sure that I can achieve the maximum transfer quality I'm able to.

Un abrazo
Gonzo
