Need help setting up SB0350 10k2 for 5.1 Gaming for EVE Online and Battlefield 2142

I am at a dilemma here, a few weeks ago I started getting the crackling and popping that Creative is known for when it comes to their drives so I decided to switch over last night to Kx. Now my issue is Im at a complete loss of how to configure the DSP for 5.1 gaming because when I load up BF2142 or EVE Online I get insane artifacts that crackle and pop loudly, also the same happens when I listen to music. Also when clicking instead of the normal click it makes a slight static noise. I have been reading up on the DSP to get a better understanding but Im still at a loss. Please can someone help me out.
