very simple question

i feel like a lame newbie for even having to ask it

...when you add effects to the DSP window, does that take up CPU resources, or is the load completely taken by the emu10k1?

(i'm guessing it IS, since you can only have a limited amount of plugins active at once)

great! ...this is what i thought

(p.s. could you say just how powerful the 10k1 chip actually is? ....for example, compared to a 286/386/486 etc processor?)
