Subwoofer bass disappears

I have the standard kX driver setup using a SB Live! 1024 with speakers connected to the front- and rear soundcard connectors via a subwoofer that provides the actual signals to the little front- and rear-speakers.

I have set the surrounder to '4.1 Speakers' and 'Copy' to copy the front-signal to the rear speakers. Now when I play music and mute the rear speakers in the kX Mixer it plays fine. But, as I slowly turn up the volume of the rear speakers, the bass gradually disappears from the subwoofer. Can someone enlighten me?

rheenen

Found it already in another thread: Just put a "Phase" effect in the rear speaker signal of the Surrounder! Great stuff!
