What is the difference between "routing" and "xrouting" in DSP?
I use the regular "routing" without "Surrounder" (oldstyle), but I see that the default in newer versions isn't like that... /Eminos |

For you who have little DSP space: Remove all plugins you don't use. If you don't record from external sources, remove the Prolog. Removing the router and constructing your own minimalistic wiring works too. If you use Cakewalk/Cubase and no SoundFonts, you can remove everything and connect FXbus0, 1 to Epilog out0, 1. If you need to mix in an effects chain, add a Stereo Mix (remember to Tweak and drag the sliders to 100%) and route your sequencer's aux to the right FXbus pair. =)

xrounting + surrounder is a more powerful combination
however, surrounder won't allow you to use EQ10 (if you have 10k1-based board), but you'll have Timbre instead /E |

surrounder: different speaker configurations, Dolby Surround encoder / decoder
routing: better rec / synth routings in general, if you don't need extra resources for additional effects, I suggest you use xrouting+surrounder+timbre /E |
