Compilation Failed - error S100

ok, im not really understanding the kx editor here so if im doin something stupid then apologies...

all I want to do is remove the Master volume control from the headphone output in the epilog so the headphone volume wont change with the cards master volume. This is on the SB360 10k2.

I thought the simple way to do it would be to edit the epilog code and simply remove the lines that multiply the headphone L & R outputs by the Master voume, but everytime I try and re-compile the code it fails with " (47): error S100: unknown character '(' ".

Even if I copy the epilog code, open a new kX editor with a new GUID and paste the 'edited' epilog code in, then save it as a .da file - it still wont compile, and when I try and register the .da file, i get the error "invalid plugin library".

so i'm probably doing something wrong, but this is the only piece of code I need to edit to get my desired setup. I have read the besic guide to the editor, but this doesnt cover the procedure to register effects, or which file formats are for what.

any help appreciated. thanks

Re: Compilation Failed - error S100

epilog is not a .da plugin, it is a dll. It cannot be edited like Dane only plugins.
(Note: The error you are getting is because Dane only plugins cannot use physical I/O's)

BTW: A possible (depending on what OS you are using) workaround would be to use the plugins found here: New: Master Volume plugin, along with ProFX:kXlt.
