Re: Phase 0-360

Will the available Phase plug-in automatically calculate what is needed?

I am doubleclicking onto the Phase plug-in and no settings window is popping.

Re: Phase 0-360

phaseshifting is frequency- dependend. that means you can shift only a discret frequency in your signal (and some around it, without audible notice). lower frequencies need a larger delay than the higher ones. you could set up a delay plugin for do that. in most cases bass- frequencies need to be shifted to compensate negative interferencies. (i.e. subwoofers)

Re: Phase 0-360

stylus02 thank you for your reply.

So I can use Thedelay plug-in for the bass frequencies , and leave high frequencies alone?

I am using an 4rth order crossover for 2.1 stereo with LFE.

I have calculated the delay via this page :
http://www.sengpielaudio.com/calcula...delayphase.htm

for my fcenter (64hz) and aplied it to L1 and L2 outs of the 4rth order crossover.

Note that kX crossovers are already "phase-aligned" (phase-shift of their LF and HF outputs is equal) so you don't need any special phase correction/delay for compensation (there's nothing to compensate). So a phase-filter/delay will make sense only if you want to correct something else (unhappy sub-speaker placement for example).
