Big Grin DSP for Dummies-self inclusive

As I was browsing the manor here in search of setting up the drivers for the first time myself I seemed to notice a trend....alot of threads involving DSP setup confusion. (but yes I was searching on stuff that n00bs search for so I did find alot of "confused" threads)

So I just kind of documented what I did in the last day or so in a simple manor while setting up the drivers on my computer with Sonar 3 pro. Granted the setup is geared towards a few Sonar specific things....

I think the info would be good for a lot of n00b's like myself just trying to get started.....yes there are tons of threads involving this.....and not to be repetitive I got a decent picture of the setup....(a really basic one) and some good instructions. Stuff I had a hard time finding when searching for specific stuff.

So this is not aimed at the KX pro and is pretty much a n00b thread....with the intent of falling back into the archives somewhere....so when someone does a search they can find it and thus be assisted a little.

Any thoughts on what I could do to make it better... I kind of suck at this stuff so advice is cool.
lemme know if I'm off base in any areas so I can fix it.....cause this is day 2 fer KX fer me....<<<n00b!

G'day M8,

Nice work and a great idea, just what us noobs need!

I've started a similar document that uses LeMury's plugins, but just been moving house and haven't had time to finish.

Uploaded the draft if ya wanna check it out

I still want to get the graphics and that all sorted out before i publish it. And i'm sure i've gone a bit too indepth with some aspects and skimmed over others!!!! So i will maybe have a rewriting session!

Thanks Guyz

Been using the KX drivers with Sonar and Cubase for a long time with just a little tweeking of the mixer settings. I tried both DSP setups and am impressed with what I can now do thru the mx6 and the other setups. Read the Dsp manual, but it just didnt sink in to this old brain. After putting togeather both examples, It finaly sank in as to how it works! First time Ive tried the KX FX on a mastering track. Nice wok Kx team.

Athalon 700 (oc'd to 900) twin 10000 rpm 18.4 SCSI cheata drives, plextor scsi burner, 512 ram, Ati Radeon 9000 pro, AK72 Mobo, SB Live Value, Roland GR-1 guitar synth and cheep azz keyboard for input.
