VST wrapper for kx Effects?

Is there any software that allows the kx driver effects to be used by a VST host such as FL Studio? This would effectively make the SB Live! family of adapters accelerators and allow users to offload effects processing to an inexpensive adapter card!

Thanks!

If you mean 'kX DSP effects' as 'Hardware accelerated VST plugins', then no, there aren't any ATM.
Although theoreticly possable, it turns out to be very hard and 'tricky' to write such VST plugins.

Currently kX offers 2 VST(i) Plugins; kXi for automation and kXSFi (in alpha stage)
for Soundfont managment.

I think danfane's idea is pretty cool, I mean, it would make routing KX effects from inside a vst host a lot easier. Maybe such plugin could let you load a kx effect and use it as you would use a regular vst plugin, i.e. inputs and outputs chosen by the vst host and not in kx dsp window. Such a feature would be something really user friendly and fast to use.

Yep it is.
Prior to danfane's post I already had discussed this idea with Eugene,
but like I already said, it's next to 'impossable' to implement this ATM.

hehehe I also thought it was impossible to have a vsti for manipulating soundfonts, a low latency driver for a US$20,00 card etc etc I suppose nothing is impossible for the KX gods, but I can imagine what a lot of work it would be... So I get your point...

yep, certain 'limitations' are not 'hard', but just a compromise between developing efforts and possible effect...

yes, I'm currently considering some VST<->DSP protocole, but it will be (if ever) too complex with some additional ASIO limitations
