Where are the Profx plugins ?

Hi all. I'm sorry for such a stupid question. I love the driver and the flexibility it gives me. I've been tinkering with the dsp setups a bit and actually I can get everything to work. (After reading Lemury's guide...Many thanks). But when I right click on my dsp window and select "add plugin" , the last thing on my list is "passthru". "Profx" isn't there.

I've tried registering the kx.lib and I've done my best to read through the posts so that I didn't have to ask such a silly question. But where are the profx plugins or if they're not part of the kx package, how do I get to try them.

I don't know if it makes a difference... I've just installed windows 2000 pro. I never installed the driver that came with my Live 5.1 soundcard. I had the kx driver on a disk from my previous computer and ran the setup.exe. I've been using it for a few weeks now and don't have any problems (that aren't self inflicted at least)

Go here and download the latest stable release. 3537.
Your version is probably too old and doesn't include ProFX.

thanks for the quick response. I'm very pleasantly suprised !

Ok, I just downloaded 3537 (update)...I have 3534. It's actually getting a bit late for me tonight and time to eat. Before I install it, a quick question... Do I have to uninstall the previous one? (I'm assuming not but figured that I would check.) or anything else that I might be forgetting?

I probably won't do anything until tomorrow night so any more input or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I personally would install the full version and remove the older one first. But the upgrade option is probably fine too, in which case you woud install it on top of your 3534. Good luck. I have Win2000 Pro also and kX runs flawlessely on it.

No stupid question at all..!
I forgot to mention in the guide(s) that the ProFX are only available in later versions.
(although I still use/have 3534 profx versions for personal use ... )

Anyway;
Yes, as Peate already suggested, to avoid trouble, you should un-install previous versions.
Also be aware that some sblive cards have the known ASIO mapping issue.
ProFX's [Asio] plugin handles this differently then Epilog.
(hmm, ... I'd probably should add that to the guide(s) too)
