too much reverb by default

I installed the latest KX drivers on my Audigy 2 and I heard far too much reverb I saw the reverb setting was at zero. Why is there so much reverb?
It sounds terrible.. I went back to the creative drivers.

please explain the setup you were using
did you have a mic installed?

Audigy 2, windows xp, nf7-s, and yes I had a mic installed was this the cause of the reverb? I have removed it and will try again with the latest beta drivers.
