Tiger M is on a distinguished road

arrow NEW: MiniMix2 + MiniMix4

First, the release of this plugin is not connected to the outburst of mixer creation in the last few weeks.

Second, it introduces some new concepts in kX plugin creation, aiming at better flexibility of use.

Take a look at this picture:
www.angelfire.com/jazz/tigersplace/minimix2

1. As you see, the mixer is really small, which is the main idea behind it. I find large plugin windows unpractical and since they should be on top most of the time it is good to make them as small as possible.

2. It can be folded, so the vu meters and the other elements are hidden, which makes the dialog even smaller, when the meters are not needed (most of the time).

3. Instead of sliders or knobs the levels are controlled with the LCDs. Just click on a lcd and drag left or right. If more subtle adjustments are needed, click once with the left or right mouse buttons on an lcd to decrease or increase by 1.

4. It has two outputs. I always use two output pairs - one for my monitors and one for the headphones. It is very practical to control both from one place (mute them etc.)

It is very practical to make it stay "Always on top", fold it and put it somewhere on the screen so it wouldn't stay on the way.

Expect MiniMix8 soon.

MiniMix2 is bundled with MiniMix4.

it does,

please don't report broken downloads, the file is there, I won't remove it, the problem is either in you or angelfire, it's not my fault, if it doesn't work at the moment try again later

every time I post a plugin people start reporting broken links

Its not you Tiger, its Angelfire, they dont allow direct linking of files. I know that problem from the freespace provider I use, which means I end up being forced to build a page around whatever file I want to offer for download. And people don't read the part about using save target as or download manager (just like I didn't).

So here is another no-brains 1-2-3 method on how to get the file from Angelfire for those who can't or don't get it:

1. Copy the link from the post (using the right click menu and copy link / link location for instance)
2. Open a new window or tab
3. Paste the link you just copied and hit enter

or just use save target as.. ;D

impossible, download 3538

anyone who can't download can send me an e-mail at
martintiger@abv.bg
and I will gladly send him the plugin

before you do that, try with "Save Target As"
(and I don't mean to be rude)

I agree. I've never seen so much (new) developer activity in such short time frame here at kX forum.

I managed to download the file succesfully, its size being 12kb.
However, WinRar 3.42 tells me: "The archive is either in unknown format or damaged"

I made the refresh speed of the meters faster, if anyone thinks it's too fast please report.

just out of curiosity, does the speed of refresh effect the processing power required? also, wouldnt it be wise to use the same refresh as the refreshrate of the computer screen (which is generally 60 hz). that would give a more realtime display... another idea, wouldnt it be cool to have an effect that was an oscillioscope (spelling ?)

I tested different speeds and the difference is minimal, something like 1-2% with MiniMix4.

It is possible to make the speed extremely fast, but with such a speed you can easily go crazy, believe me. I find the speed that I've set up to be optimal, at least for me.

There was an oscilloscope posted here some time ago (by Sokol?), but it was an external app, not kX if I recall correctly.

I of course meant LED counters, not LCD counters.

Hi Tiger!

Checked your little Mixer4 and it´s awesome, nice ol´cubase style meters . Small bug: Automation window; mute3 and mute4 not available.

Greetings!
