FXBus questions

I'm a newbie here, I'm using KX drivers for about a month now and I'm not sure about some things. Maybe someone could help me.

FXBus has a number of 4 stereo channels 0/1, 4/5, 6/7, 8/9 for Wave.
What should I use as default output device ?
What are the differences between 0/1 and 4/5 ?
At the moment in Control Panel I use 0/1 as default output device. If I watch a movie without AC3 (6 channels) - just stereo, it outputs on 0/1. If the movie has AC3 sound it outputs on 4/5, 6/7, 8/9 (0/1 is silent). For AC3 I use decoder from Cyberlink PowerDVD 6.
Does the p16v has some advantages over standard wave buses ? (I have an Audigy2 Value.

Thank you in advance.
