Just to be clear, I meant stereo channels (like with Peak4/6/8).
i.e.
Peak1 = 2 inputs
Peak2 = 4 inputs
Peak3 = 6 inputs

I know, but Peak1 (stereo) would become to small to have a title, default items etc.
Sure, it's possible to do so, but for that i would have to adjust my framework just
for that single plugin.
Perhaps later when I decide to re-write everything .

And thanks also to Lex.
This 65 parameter limit may also hinder my "Plan B", which was to do a DANE mixer and then control it via MIDI and a Reaktor "GUI".

Hmm, re-thinks in order.

JohnN:

Hey what you're saying sounds exciting. Lex has already gotton with Eugene (Lead Programmer of the kX Project) about increasing the max number of parameters a plug in can use. Maybe you can read this thread (or start a new thread) and post some of your ideas in hopes that Eugene will see and make something happen so you will be able to do something. Maybe you wont be able to present a giant mixer, but maybe something can happen so you can do something.

Whatever happens, let me tell you that Lex (author of the ProFX Plug Ins) is always here. And he is able to familiarize you with the programmer side of kX. You also can try to make contact with Max M., Russ, Trill, Townkat, and Eyagos. they are also programmers. Russ is here often and Trill is here kinda often as well.

Hope that helps.

And yes it's a long thread. That's because Lex makes things happen, and his ProFX plug ins are popular.

In your case, using Dane only,~64 parameters could be enough.
You mentioned a 16 channel stereo mixer so you can have
64/16 = 4 storable parameters per channel.

Note that you can't do any fancy stuff using 'Dane only'.

Yeah, I kinda realised that after I'd posted!
What's really driving this (for me, at least) was when I found that you could assign a MIDI channel to a specific FX Bus - that thar "potential" started "expanding exponentially" yet again!!!!!

Anyways, I've started looking through the SDK, but I'm much more of a hardware engineer not software!

I'll play around a bit and then I think it best to kick off a new thread when I have some hard questions.

Thanks for all so far.

On request;
ProFx v3.06 compiled for 3534..!!

http://members.home.nl/nahutec/ProFx/profx3x.htm

Well, those who asked for this 3534 release will find an updated ADC
and a prelimenary version of MX8.

ADC now has peak meters for each Codec making it
a bit easier to setup 2x2 = 4 analog inputs.

Note that because I use 3534f myself, this is my current
'experimental' version.
Some bug fixes/improvements, and perhaps some new bugs .

Have fun,

/Lex.

PS: THIS WILL NOT WORK ON ANY 3538..!

I just wanted to thank you for adding all the new Peak plugins...they are great...
I am guessing your newest plugs will be in the release version of 3538...they are very useful.

Thanks a bunch Lex for the ProFX 3.06!!!! Many thanks for the MX8!!!!!!!!!!

However the actual link to download the ProFX 3.06 seems to be not working. When I click on it, I'm taken to a German page with no download link to 3.06 anywhere.

but I use Eyagos's Dynamica 3.1 with 3534 myself,
so I fixed some bugs with the sliders and recompiled it some time ago:

I'm using a SB0092 (Audigy). ADC and kXlt work fine. If I experience any problems, I will post them.

EDIT

BTW, the link to the quicklaunch dsp window is in post #370 of the New ProFX thread.

kxlt and asio

currently using 3538j with ProFX for j

Anytime I load Pro:kXlt I seem to lose any singal entering asio1 via Pro:asio. I've tested with an ADC source and a Wave Generator DSP and in both instances the audio entering into asio1 is lost, as i'm monitoring in my Nuendo mixer. As soon as I unload kXlt the asio1 signal returns and is present in the mixer.

the dsp shows my card as being CT4670 10k1 [c800]

The previous version of the plugins with 3538h was working ok.

thank you in advance.

Rectification:
I just re-checked, plugin code is fine (is same as previous version)
Unfortunatly this phenomena is random and related to the infamous
'asio routing issue' some (most) CL 10k1 cards exhibit.

You will find that:
- enabling/disabling VST inputs in your host
- start/stop of asio streams,
- open close VST host application,
*can* randomly/occasionaly shift the ASIO inputs.
I.e. asio0 may become asio15, or Center/LFE output of K1LT becomes asio0.
The nasty thing is, ..You never know when it will happen.

Try switching your VST Inputs ON/OFF in your host.
You will see that suddenly asio0 will re-appear.

I'm sorry, there is nothing we can do about it.

I did a reinstall of the drivers and apps from scratch and routing issues seem to have been resolved. I didn't install the plugin pack and just used the core ones with the new ProFx, i'm not sure if that had anything to do with it.

anyways, that's for the hard work, i love these plugins!

I doubt it.
Trust me on this one, the issue is still there.
The really weird thing is that it can stay stable for weeks,
then suddenly, after a reboot, or firing up you ASIO host etc,
you will see it will happen again someday, sometime;
..asio inputs are shifted and/or 'muted' by Center/LFE.

It happend to me the other night right after you posted it.
(almost the same card type 10k1 4.0 )
Messing with the ASIO inputs of SX 'fixed' it.

/Lex.
