Yeah I figured the dialog would be alot of work to implement, it's just I really liked the dark look..theme you had going on gave the plugins a very professional look..quite nice...I would still use the plugins red green or blue....But sometimes I like to leave things on the desktop...Nice work regardless of the color..very impressive...did you give any thought into doing the rest of the plugins set in the same type of "theme" such as surrounder..etc.....give KX a nice Cohesive look...

I changed the colours using Reshack, but I can't change the colour under the text so it ended up looking a bit silly. But it only took about half an hour to reskin MX6 to a XPish blue colour.

I'm willing to test the plug-ins on my SB0060 but I want to be sure I can revert back to the older versions if my card stops working. I did try the AC97 and SRC plug ins last week and no problems with them.

The red is a bit harsh at first, but I'm sure I could get used to it. I love the new mixer. Thanks LeMury.

already used the file you sent me and it worked fine on SB0060!

I could try it too, on a CT4670, later this week, and I'll let you know if it works...

Mixer Functions

LeMury

One feature that occurs to me (because) I have used it so often in other contexts (not in kX), it the slider attenuation setting. At present this is an output field showing the result in dB.

But there are often situations when it would be useful for it to be an input field: to key in the desired gain. That is the field ends up being an I/O field either showing the gain set by the slider or the gain overriden by keyentry.

Yes, but I haven't released an updated ProFX pack yet as you can read in the thread's header.

I have the new src connected to the Kxlt for music listening and can only get the left channel.

land r of src connected to out 1 and 2 of kxlt.

P.S. -I don't know what happened ,but it seems to be working now.

I found some ct entries in windows that I deleted(experimented with the pax drivers and came back to earth with the good ole kx drivers-still the best for music)

Lowend Cancelled When using MX6 Aux 2

LeMury...

Great work, your efforts are most appreciated.. Love the per channel Meters and I like the red

My Card is 0090 W/livedrive2 and I have not expreienced any issues with the new set of ProFX except one...

I was hearing a strange cancellation in the output of MX6 when ever I would try to bring up the Send for Aux 2 on Channel 3. To rule out the FX as the problem (was APS compressor) I just ran lines in the DSP from the Output of AUX 2 directly into channel 6. At the same time I also ran line from AUX 1 out to Channel 5. In testing both, it seems AUX 1 works as it should and when I bring up the AUX 1 send on channel 3 the MX6 Mains output increases. If I bring up the Aux 2 Send on Channel 3, the volume decreases and all the lowend is gone... almost sounds like phone quality. It not Phasing because I'm double feeding the Master bus because if I leave channel 3 enabled but turn off the send to mains.... the sound coming back in from Aux 2 still sounds terrible...

Thanks so Much for your great work!

Hello,

Strange. I can not seem to reproduce this behaviour.
Anyone else experience the same problem?

Btw; When you did 'your direct connection test', did you really connect the Send Outputs
directly to the Channel Inputs?
That is; as soon as you insert just one other plugin, the DSP will cause at least 1/48000 sec
execution delay which may cause phase cancelation.

Anyway; I'll have a closer look at the code to rule out stuff.
Keep me posted.

Thanks DJ. Yep same here on my sb0102.
However, as mentioned in the header, I've found and fixed a bug in kxlt code which probably showed up on certain sb0060 cards and probably other cards as well.

LeMury, just let me know through pm whenever you want to troubleshoot the aps bug in src I mentioned before. Basically A1/A2 isn't there in the list, it should be the first in the list, maybe that's an indicator.

I already fixed that along with some other bugs Miquel.
I just did not yet release an updated pack.

Lowend Cancelled When using MX6 Aux 2

Hi LeMury,

Thanks for the response. As for your question, yes, for my test I ran directly from A2 out to Channel 6 in with no plugin between to make sure it was not a phase cancellation that I was hearing because thats what it really sounds like to me.... but if it were a true phase cancellation then taking the original signal out of the mains bus would get rid of it but it doesnt in fact it makes it worse because there is no longer direct signal mixed in and all I hear is the return from A2, which for lack of a better discription sounds phase canceled. If there is any test I can run for you just let me know... and if there are any other Kx users that can reproduce this, it would be helpful I'm sure to determine if it the plugin or my system causing the problem.

Thanks Again!
Temp

EDIT-- In doing more tests... its only the Main bus affected... the record bus works as it should. So, if I route the record output to my monitors, then in MX6 have channel 3, 5 & 6 all sending to the record bus and bring up the A2 send, I get a volume increase and no quality reduction. If I do the same using the Main bus, I get the weird cancellation. Hope this helps.

System Specs

It's great. I wanted to use the mic and line in at the same time.

I think I found a bug. At least there's a problem here on my CT4832 10k1. Here's what happen :

I load kxlt.
I load Src.
I connect Src (FXBus 0/1) to Analog Front Out.

For now everything works fine. If I play something, I hear it.

I load AC97. Sound stops coming out of Analog Front Out.
To get the sound back, I need to toggle and untoggle Digital Output Only in kxlt. I can also click once on Toggle 'Digital Output Only' mode in the mixer. It won't get toggled (checkmark does not appear) and the sound gets back.

I tested it with Rear Out instead of Analog Front Out and it does not exhibit the same problem.

I Hope that helps you LeMury. Tell me if you need more info.

I can confirm the same thing. It is not only with src and kxlt. It does the same thing with FXBus and epilog when you load ProFX AC97. You can get sound back by toggling DOO (on then off again) mode in kX Mixer or kxlt, or by resetting AC97 in kX Mixer.

nakamichi has a little shameless behaviour in the past

I must say these plugs are great, thank you.It totally changed the way of thinking about my Audigy2.Now I'm glad I have more power and control than ever before with ProFX 2.0.The AC97 mixer plugin separated from the SRC plugin is a great change I love. And the new MX6 gives me complete control over recording and playback, while having enough resources to add some effects plugs and other stuff.

Here's what I think about adding or changing something for the next release:

- A large size mode (like the option in the Winamp skin).I use a very high res (2048x1536 [19" and 21" CRT]) and the Mixer is a bit small. An option for 50% increase in the size would be great or 100% (like doublesize mode in Winamp).
- More gain for the UDA inputs (12dB is still not enough (ex. when recording from cassette tape,it's still not enough to drive the REC level close to 0dB.On the AC97 input, you can easily do that, there's more gain).
- Red skin is too dark and everything is hard on my eyes on a CRT monitor. On an LCD it may look wonderful, but the classic silver gray is much better for CRTs.Yes,and those high-contrast white markers annoy me too.Darkening them is a good idea.
- The white box redraw bug which happens often. It's annoying, but I read it's fixed by now.Waiting for the new version.
- Could you possibly add keyboard shortcuts for these plugs, for example, call MX6 mixer with 'Ctrl+6',or AC97 mixer with 'Ctrl+7'?

kxlt - idea: we could have a mute for each of the outs next to the listed output (so instad of changing the output to cut the signal we could check/uncheck a mute)
